The Anglican Province of North America
A Province of the Anglican Free Communion International.
The Anglican Province of North America (APNA) is a constituent province of the Anglican Free Communion International — a worldwide family of autonomous Anglican churches founded in England on 2 November 1897. With our sister provinces across four continents, we carry forward the historic apostolic faith, independent of the Established Church yet rooted in the same Catholic and Reformed inheritance.
From the Provincial Bishop
A word to the faithful of North America.

“The Communion is not a federation of opinions, but a fellowship of men and women who have knelt together at the same altar and received the same Body of Christ.”
— The Rt. Revd. John Oliver, PhD, Provincial Bishop
The Anglican Way
Catholic faith. Reformed conscience. Common prayer.
Anglicanism is not a denomination among many but a particular way of being the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church — sober, scriptural, sacramental, and gathered around the Book of Common Prayer.
Catholic & Reformed
We are heirs of the undivided Church of the first millennium and of the English Reformation — neither Roman nor Protestant in the modern sense, but apostolic, evangelical, and sacramental together.
The Book of Common Prayer
Common Prayer shapes the Anglican soul. In the Daily Office, the Holy Eucharist, and the occasional offices, we are formed week by week into the mind of Christ.
Scripture, Tradition, Reason
Holy Scripture is supreme, read within the Tradition of the Church and illumined by sanctified reason — the threefold cord by which Anglicans have always sought the truth.
The Via Media
A middle way of moderation and balance — not compromise, but a settled comprehensiveness that holds together what zealots on every side would tear apart.

The Episcopate
An unbroken line, an undivided faith.
Our bishops stand within the apostolic succession received through the Armenian, Syriac, and Old Catholic lines that flowed into the Communion at her foundation in 1897. Each bishop is shepherd, teacher, and guardian of the deposit of faith — a sign of the Church's continuity from Pentecost to the present hour.

From the Collects
“Almighty God, who hast built thy Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone; grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit by their doctrine, that we may be made an holy temple acceptable unto thee.”
